I want to stay somewhere nice not far from Paris...preferably a countryside location for a few nights (possibly 7 nights).
It must have good transport links because I%26#39;m wanting to visit Paris at least 3 times and also Disneyland.
Can anyone recommend me a nice village/town to stay in that will suit my needs? Basically after somewhere quiet with good scenery i.e.mountains/hills, a few shops, places to eat and somewhere I may be able to rent bikes and go walking with my girlfriend.
All suggestions are welcome even if not in Ile de France region...also web links to places I can book/see suggestions
Thanks

You could try this
www.eurocamp.co.uk/index.cfm…
Verdelot, Paris
It says there are buses locally to Paris although the train st is 19k away
Then there is this site
caravancampingsites.co.uk/france/77/etangsfl…
Book direct rather than via an agent - always cheaper
This site is beautiful and very %26#39;in the country%26#39;
caravancampingsites.co.uk/france/77/courtill…
It%26#39;s within walking distance of the train station but you can%26#39;t hear trains on site
Or just google campsites Paris

Thanks for that. I really like the Etangs Fleuris place. Is it easy to get to Paris from there? Can I buy a day ticket for the metro there and use it? How much?
Also is it easy to get to DLP from there?
Thanks

I%26#39;ve not been to Etangs Fleuris personally but it%26#39;s only 20 miles form Paris. Have a look here for trains www.voyages-sncf.com/leisure/uk/launch/home/
How easy it is will depend on how far it is to the train station.
As for DLP? Again, with no personal experience of the site I honestly do not know.
What I can tell you is that Camping International is VERY easy for both trips. 30 mins form Paris by train and 40 mins from DLP by train and it stops right outside the gate. However, CI itself isn%26#39;t quiet as in countryside quiet. It%26#39;s on the edge of a lovely Paris suburb, with shops, restaurants and busy river (The Seine) running along the edge of it.
Trains st is very easy to reach and only 10/15 mins away.
Have a look at this
www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp…
Also found these reviews for you - scroll to the last one. It says Also handy for visiting Valle de Europe and catching the train to Paris.
