august and september

Im plannning on going to corsica in the last week of august and first week of september. will it be VERY CROWDED?

Thx

We went at that time last year and I did not find it too crowded. Plenty of space on the beach and we had no problems getting into restaurants but reserved at the ones that we particularly wanted to go to. E

And by the first week of September when a lot of the families went back it was noticably quieter.

You should be fine. French mainland schools will be restarting before the end of August and the same is true of other countries. If you want high summer and some sense of everything being open then end-Aug and early Sept is absolutely the best time to go.

Thanks a lot!

How will the weather be like at the beginning of September?

Weather should still be hot, say 28 degrees and strong sun. Of course weather is unpredictable these days - some people posted that there was a lot of rain on Corsica last August.

Our recent travels to Corsica have been 1st week September - 1st week of October, and the temperature drops from about 28 deg. to around 22-24 say early October.

If you want to be sure of very hot sun and no rain I suppose you should be heading off to Greece or similar.

Last week of August may be a bit crowded, but the island should start emptying because summer holidays will be over in most in European countries.
