I%26#39;ve always heard about the fields of poppies at Normandy--when do they bloom.
We will be there in late July.

You%26#39;ll be there at the very end of the blooms, if you don%26#39;t miss them completely.
Poppies do grow wild in Normandy, but most of the WWI references to poppies come from the poem %26quot;In Flanders Fields%26quot; -- Flanders is a part of Belgium.

Also, the poppies on the battle fields bit comes from one world war earlier than youw ere thinking.....
