Has anyone taken Walking Through Provence with Go Ahead Tours? We have taken two other walking tours with Go Ahead Tours and they have been wonderful. We%26#39;re concerned about flying into Charles DeGaulle Airport after reading all the horror stories. We would have to fly to Paris from Boston and then connect to Nice. Any helpful advice would be appreciated, either about the tour or flying into and out of Paris.

I%26#39;ve transferred at de Gaulle and survived to tell the tale! My flight to Marseille had a connection at Roissy.
Make sure there is a good cushion of time between flights (2 hours AT LEAST). Roissy could probably hold the population of small city in its terminals - it%26#39;s huge - so you will need plenty of time to wait in line for immigration, orient yourself, drag luggage around, find your gate, seat yourself, organize your thoughts, and board another plane :)
You may also want to investigate the (easier) alternative of taking the TGV directly from Roissy. It%26#39;s probably cheaper than a flight with the connection.

Although CDG is a nightmare, Go Ahead knows this and should give you ample time for your transfer. I wouldn%26#39;t be too concerned about that aspect of your trip. And as you are already aware, Go Ahead does great tours!
I%26#39;d love to hear about your experience with them if you take this one...we%26#39;ve been considering it.
Have a great time!

Thanks, france-maniac and vcikisfloyd for the helpful advice about the CDG airport. As long as Go Ahead gives us ample time to transfer, we should be fine.
We%26#39;ve already booked Walking Through Provence for the end of September, and I will report back after the trip. We loved the Walking the Amalfi Coast tour in Oct. 2006, and my daughter and I did the Walking Through Tuscany tour in June, 2007. Both were wonderful tours with excellent tour guides. You are right, vickisfloyd; Go Ahead does great tours! We%26#39;re looking forward to Provence.
