Major history interest

I am heading to paris soon with someone who is very interested in history.....any history but in particular World War 1 and 11. Can you suggest anything places we should go to ?

There are several companies who do walking tours based on WWII. One is Classic Walks. Their website is classicwalksparis.com although others may recommend others. You might enjoy the Deportation Memorial which is located behind Notre Dame, just to the right of the bridge over to Ile St. Louis. It%26#39;s easy to miss because it%26#39;s beneath ground level. Watch for the small park located outside the memorial. It%26#39;s definitely worth a visit.

If you%26#39;re interested in History it%26#39;s important to make sure you have the right guidebook, as some delve deeper into a place%26#39;s history than others. I found the Time Out Guide to Paris was good on history, and after that the Rough Guide.

The Musee Carnavalet is a history of the city of Paris museum that is wonderful and free!

There is an absolutely fascinating museum dedicated to the history of science, technology, and engineering. It is the Musée des Arts et Métiers. Right now the featured exhibition is on Benjamin Franklin.
