Hi,
Anybody know how to go from Paris to the castles in Loire Valley through public transportation? For example, by train, by bus.
I am interested to go to Chambord, Amboise, and Chenonceau.
Thanks.

Train to the Loire Valley (probably Tours is best), then train or bus to Chenonceaux, bus to Amboise. The Station at Amboise is outside town and a nuisance, whereas the station at Chenonceaux is at the the end of teh driveway
Chambord os difficult by public transport unless you want a long walk

Tours is served by TGV from Montparnasse in Paris.

From Tours there are a number of tour bus options which may be the most effective use of your vacation time:

Of the 3 chateaux you mention, I consider only Chateau de Chambord and Chenonceau as %26quot;do not miss%26quot; locations.

Train down to Blois (1 1/2 hours)
- Regular bus from city centre to Chambord
- Regular trains to Amboise (20 minutes)
- Train to Tours (35 mins) and then a short connecting train to Chenonceau (20 mins), giving you the opportunity to visit Tours aswell if you wish.
And of course you will then be able to visit the Chateau de Blois- probably the most interesting of them all.
