I will be going to Paris for 5 days at the end of April and will be staying at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, the address of which is 31, avenue George V.
I hope you can help me to my questions:
1. If I decide to take the bus from CDG airport, what bus should I take that will take me right to the hotel?
2. I am planning on taking the city tour so I don%26#39;t have to walk far or line up at the Louvre, the Arc or the Eiffel Tower. What tour can you suggest?
3. How about the Versailles tour?
4. Can I walk from the hotel to the Marais district or the Latin quarter?
Your replies would be greatly appreciated.

1. There is no bus that will drop you off at George V. For those staying here, a taxi is a good choice. - approx 40 euros.
2, 3. I am unable to provide tour assistance.
4. You can walk to the Marais as well as the Latin Quarter however either a bus or the métro will save a great deal of time.

We%26#39;re staying at the same hotel this Fall. They have a wonderful %26quot;Meet and Greet%26quot; program where they meet you at the airplane, speed you through customs, get your luggage, and take you outside to your driver who will drive you in a Mercedes to the George V. It%26#39;s a little pricey, but if you are staying at that hotel, you can probably afford it.
We%26#39;re using the service because it is also our first time in Paris, we%26#39;ll be tired from the long trip, and it sounds like heaven!
Do a search on here for tour information.

Hi RandS41,, I can help , but only a little.
First, there are three ways to get into Paris from the airport( CDG), there IS a bus, private shuttle companies, there is the RER ( suburban train system) and of course a taxi.
If you are travelling lightly , not much luggage,( there are stairways to climb) you could just take the RER into Paris, it will cost 8.50 Euros and take about 30 minutes. When you arrive in Paris you can either take a taxi from the RER station( Chatelet I think for you)(which will be somewhere around 10-15 euros, and depending on traffic will only take an extra 10 minutes or so. This would be my first choice,, I like the RER since it is fast.
You could take a taxi straight to hotel from airport, it will run from 40-70 euros depending on time of day( traffic) , this is not a bad deal if there are two or more people sharing the taxi. It is also not a bad idea after a long plane ride, you WILL be tired( I fly out of Vancouver too)
There is a Roissy bus that travels between airport and Paris, it makes only a few stops in town and I think ( but am not sure)one is near Arc DeTriomphe where you then grab a taxi, should be less then 10 euros from there. Google Roissy bus, or just enter it in the search box on this site.
I don%26#39;t take shuttles and they would not be one of my choices.

Thanks all for your tips and suggestions. I%26#39;ll look into that %26quot;Meet and Greet%26quot; option of the hotel, which could mean only one thing: no hassle :)
