Does anyone know about 'Paris Vacation Rental'?

This is a small rental agency with six apartments. When i read the forums, i did not find anything about %26#39;Paris Vacation Rental%26#39;. And i am uncomfortable to book if i cannot find any recommendations from other travelers. However, all of their apartments were well located in tourist areas. their prices seemed reasonable. We are a family of four with two young adults. It is our first time in Paris and we cannot decide which is the best one to rent. We would like to rent near a RER B station that can take us direct to the CDG airport. We also want to be close to the sites as well.

For first timers in Paris, I think you%26#39;d like the Louvre Location.

The Marais Apartment is not in the Marais.

The Eiffel Location is not very convenient.

The Sacre Coeur location is not near Sacre Coeur, nearer Gare de l%26#39;Est and the

Montmartre apartment appears to be at the foot of Montmartre not on Montmartre....

The Louvre Location is walking distance to many of the things you%26#39;vé come to Paris to see. It is right at the Chatelet metro/RER stations

You are less than 100 meters from the river...

Lots of shops/brasseries near by, but not the best grocery shopping. You%26#39;ll have to go a bit afield for that, but across the river and down St Andre des Arts til it turns into Buci, great walk and maybe 15 minutes... lots of fresh produce there...

It always look good in the their wegpages but it really takes a person who knows the city well to tell it is a gem or not. I will consider the Louvre apartment, but i think i should look for other recommendations in TA.

I have checked other websites and i found one near Les Halles as well. It says it is near the train station and I wonder if it is a easy walk.

The agency is VacationinParis, apartment ID 79, one bedroom. It has a very detail description and a map locator.

We have used apartments in Paris run by Citadines (which is part of the Ascott Group). They have several serviced apartment buildings all over Paris. Two of their best locations are St Germain Des Pres and L%26#39;Opera. I have stayed at both. The first one is an amazing location in the Latin Quarter facing the river and the apartments are of better quality than the latter location. I would recommend these to you.

I know about Paris Vacation Rental as we rented an apartment in June 07 for our family of 2 adults and 3 children. The apartment was fine EXCEPT for the fact the contract states that you must pay a bond in cash of at least 300 euros on the day you arrive and then the company will refund in 6 weeks time. These conditions are not known until after you place your payment for the apartment.

In February 08 we still have not received our 300 euros back and they do not even reply to my email requests.

So while the apartment looks a reasonable price it is not and for the extra 300 euors we could have got a much better apartment and hopefully much bettter service.

I would not recommend this company to any traveller

Thanks for replying to this post. Will calling them and demanding your refund a better alternative? Waiting for eight months for a refund is way too long. Keep on trying because it is your money after all.

We rented one apartment from Vrbo and we will be in Paris in May, hope ours work out fine.
