We%26#39;re planning a European vacation for August including a week in Paris. Married couple, mid-twenties, and would like a hotel with cafes, shops, and night-life close by with easy access to the major sites.
Originally I was looking at Hotel Elysees Regencia, but I%26#39;ve gathered from the forum that the Latin Quarter would probably suit us better. Is the Hotel Five a good choice? Any other recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you are into modern and contemporary decor, which is right up our alley as well. I had considered both hotels you mention on previous trips. IMHO, I think you%26#39;d be better of at the Regencia since it%26#39;s closer to the Champs. We stayed at Hotel le 123 for our honeymoon two years ago and really liked the area.
