Brantome

We are planning to visit Brantome in the Dordogne and like the lokk of the Hostellerie du Perigord Vert. Unfortunately there is only one feedback. Has anyone out there visited the hotel?

I have never stayed at Hostellerie du Perigord Vert and cannot comment on it, however if you like the looks of it, then I suggest try it.. Too many people take other people feedback too serious, I strongly believe that if you stay at a place with a positive attitude and your expectations are reasonable then you will enjoy the place.

For the past 5 years, I spend on and off about 4-6 months in the Dordogne, everywhere i have stayed has been great, for the past 2 years I have stayed at B%26amp;B Ferme de Tayac, this B%26amp;B is unbeatable, and so are the owners Mike and Suzanne, they will bend over backwards to make your stay an enjoyable one. But still on one or two occasions I have met some extremely obnoxious people staying there,.. and Suzanne %26amp; Mike deserve a medal for trying to please even these people, that book a lovely homely B%26amp;B, but expect 5 star full snob service.

I%26#39;m sure that if you like the looks of Hostellerie du Perigord Vert, and the price is what you are looking for, then you will love it, My advice is that if you do have certain expectations / needs to first check with the hotel if they can offer them.

A very interesting comment. Last year I travelled by car from Bilbao to Calais. The best hotel i stayed in was the Holiday Inn in Calais. Hence this time round i am putting my trust in Tripadvisor. Alison

LdF offers 1, 2, or 3 fireplaces as their rating, and the Brantome Office de Tourisme indicates that this is a 2-fireplace property. LdF is a rating system overseen by the government, and the properties are held to very strict standards in order to maintain their ratings. (www.

I%26#39;ve not stayed there, but it looks like absolutely lovely, the restaurant looks terrific, and I think you%26#39;d be missing out if you didn%26#39;t stay there.
