I will be visiting Paris in April, and will make a point of sampling some of the divine pastries as I walk around the city. Can anyone recommend a shop that sells particularly toothsome confections? Merci!

For an accent on the tea, on our last visit we bought some tea at Mariage Frères on the rue de Bourg Tibourg. They also have a small area set aside to sample tea and pastries.

Prior to the trip either check your local library or buy: %26quot;Paris Boulangerie Patisserie%26quot; by Linda Dannenberg. It was reprinted a couple of years ago so it should be available.
The book profiles about the top dozen of each of the boulangeries and patisseries.
