Swimming pools and gyms in Nice

I plan a holiday week in Nice in September and I will stay in a private accomodation near to rue Jean Medeci and very close to the railway station. Please advise me the public swimming pools and gyms that are close to me.

There is an indoor public swimming pool in the Old Town area which is pretty nice and reasonably priced.

This one isn%26#39;t THAT close but it%26#39;s very large and from the train station, it%26#39;s just a few minutes by tram, almost door to door:

check the link for swimming pool

take the tramway and the nearest will be

st francois de paul (old town), stop %26quot;gare routiere / vieille ville%26quot; = 2 min after by walk

or

comte de falicon (north side) = 2 min by walk

= public / municipal pool = 2.30 euros per person

or

jean bouin, the biggest swimming pool, 4 min by walk after tramway, about 5 euros the entrance

all theses 3 pools are near a tramway stop

Is it still true that you have to wear %26quot;Speedos%26quot; in a public swimming pool in France? Or does this only apply to certain outdoor pools?

It%26#39;s probably wise to pack a pair of budgie-smugglers just in case!
