Boat Trips on the Loire

Has anyone any information/advice about boat trips on the Loire River e.g. where from,where to,duration, cost etc.

There is a barge cruise for a week on a ship called the Nymphea available from an English company called European Waterways, its on the Cher river passing numerous chateaux

Blimey - I just looked up their prices.......... £1800 per person per week for the cheapest cabin?

Eclusier/Wizardofaus Thank you each for your replies. However,I was not seeking a holiay on a barge, but just information about boat %26quot;trips%26quot; on the river!Someone out there must have information on such trips for which I would be grateful.

There is a company that does afternoon trips from Amboise, and another that does tours from Tours.

I dont have any details of them, but I have, at some stage, seen brochures. I believe that someone also does tours past (or under) Chenonceaux by boat, but I dont have details.

there is the belandre that goes under Chenonceau if you need lunch with, otherwise the Gabarre from the same owner if its just the boating needed,
