View from Galleries Lafayette or Printemps

Our hotel is located near both of these stores and our rooms will not be ready when we arrive. I am thinking of taking my group to either the Cafeteria at Galleries Lafayette or Printemps for a bite to eat, a rejuvinating run through the store (as I am traveling with a group of teens I always find a good store gets their energy flowing!) followed by a visit to the Opera Garnier.

Which is the better choice for views of Paris: Galleries Lafayette or Printemps? Thanks, Moms

Travelling with a group of teens? You will find it difficult to keep track of them in eitehr store.

Neitehr are famous for their views of Paris - shops are about keeping the focus inwards..........

I am, luckily, not responsible for keeping track of each teen as each girl%26#39;s mother will be traveling with us.

I am still interested in which store%26#39;s upper level restaurant has a better view of Paris...I realize neither is La Samaritaine (sp?) but was hoping for some input. Moms

I disagree. The view from the Printemps Homme store terrace is stunning. One of the best views of Paris, particularly the view of Sacre Coeur.

I must agree with metromole. I found the view to be outstanding! The terrace is an excellent place to get a bird%26#39;s eye view of Paris!

Cafetaria on top of Printemps is on top of Printemps de la maison on corner of Blvd Haussmann and rue du Havre.

You can also take a quick walk to Tuileries gardens which are not far from there and being outdoors and walking after a long flight is always a good idea.

I always get lost in both stores, so maybe I haven%26#39;t seen them at their best

How does anyone ever buy anything at these places?

Printemps terrace--nice for picture taking in the AM with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

There is better quality (and pricier) food options at Galleries Lafayette, if that is a deciding factor.
