Moulin Rouge Appropriate for a 12 Yr Old Girl?

Loosely planing our itinerary - we%26#39;ll be in Paris Nov 15 - 24th. Was wondering if the Moulin Rouge was appropriate for my daughter and have any of you seen other pre-teens there?

Any information you can share is helpful and appreciated.

Merci!

There are many similar posts on this on this board, simply type %26quot;appropriate Moulin Rouge %26quot; or %26quot; Teens Moulin Rouge%26quot; in search box and open can of worms. LOL In fact there is another post just a day or two ago , scan back a page or two.

There are some topless dancing girls, BUT, it is in no way lewd , but depending on your own child she may or may not enjoy it. 12 is a funny age. LOL

Do not buy dinner package, overpriced for mediorce food at best.

Hello - As stated the dancing is top-less BUT THAT IS ALL, if that does not offend you there is no reason not to go.

I have been a couple of time with my wife and teenage children and they liked the show as it features juggling and magic. (By its very nature the show has to be visual as many people watching will not be able to speak english or french).

I would also like to add a comment about the food. Yes it is expensive for what you get, you get your half bottle of champage and you cannot then get other drinks BUT as an occasion that most people will only ever go to once I think it is a great night out. It is also a great excuse to really dress up.

i visited paris only a few wks ago and before going posted the exact same question as you exept my daughter is 11 yrs, and 99% of the responses strongly advised against going( not the topless fact) due to the fact its a tourist trap and apparently no parisien would be caught in there! its supposed to be like a cattle mart with every one crammed together. I didnt go but took some photos ouside instead and we did the night seine cruise instead which was unforgettable.enjoy Parisx

Not that this says much (or anything) about appropriateness, but the Moulin Rouge website mentions:

- No child under 6.

- Child under 12: 50% discount on the show only. Please, contact us.

I%26#39;m pro nudity and think my daughter can handle it, but we%26#39;ll skip it and explore other venues.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond.

just want to add that experiences are quite different from a country to another : Moulin Rouge age admittance : 6 y.old

Las Vegas topless shows : 21 y.old

something must be wrong !!

|||

by the way, i suggest the (New) Bobino show with the dinner, both great value .....

We have a guest coming this week who is dying to go to the MR, which is absolutely NOT my idea of a productive use of my finances.

I BEGGED 13 yr old daughter to go in my place and she refused, because she has no interest in watching topless women dancing around on stage. Simply not her idea of a great night out.

Actually, the minimum age is 18 years for topless shows in Vegas. This included shows like Zumanit, Jubilee, Fantasy and %26quot;gentleman%26#39;s clubs%26quot; that don%26#39;t serve booze.

well thank you Mikul, i remember our stay with our daughter, she was 18 years old and we have had the opportunity to watch the show %26quot;Sigfried and Roy%26quot; ....the way in the file with some cops was ok but when we arrived close to the steward (is that the right name) he roar like a (of the show) tiger : hey your daughter is not 21 years old ...We were confused about that and we have tried to corrupt him with a 10 box ...unfortunately he was a member of the Incorruptible band and said : i%26#39;ll call a policeman ...of course we all know that some policemen are corruptible, BUT, we have preferred to escort our daughter to the hotel room and as we had another chance to watch the 2nd show with the 2 %26quot;golden german boys%26quot; before they stop for ...how do you say ...serious injuries ...and during this time, my daughter had the pleasure to watch a movie at the TV with your actual and well known Californian Senator, at the time he was one of the most serious killer of the planet ... don%26#39;t worry; i love America
