Has anyone been to Laduree on the Champs Elysees? If so, do you recommend it? I just looked at the menu online and everything sounds fabulous! Will we need a reservation and is there any sort of dress code (jeans ok??)?
Thanks!

I took my mother and aunt to Laduree two years ago, and we had a fabulous lunch. We got to sit upstairs. I had a salad that was so beautiful, I took a picture of it! It was a big expensive but well worth it.

Dang typing too fast -- I meant %26quot;bit%26quot; not %26quot;big.%26quot;

Haven%26#39;t eaten at Laduree on the Champs Elysees, but we have dined at the original location on Rue de Royal near the Madeline. Jeans are totally acceptable and I do not believe you need a reservation. Definitely go there and have some macarons at the very least!

We ate lunch there in the fall of 2006. It was wonderful. Expensive but wonderful. We had salads as well. And, no, you don%26#39;t need a reservation.

Can you just order macaroons to go, or is it the kind of place where you have to sit down and eat?
|||
There is a counter to get gift boxes of confections,macaroons,etc.
The place is beautiful ,the tea(Marie Antionette) lovely and pastries delicious but our service was unpleasant and we had to ask for the bill 4 times(even asking in French) Perhaps we didn%26#39;t spend enough

If I just want to pop in for a box of macaroons to go, which location is the best?
|||
Thanks everyone, I can%26#39;t wait!! :-)

I%26#39;m not sure there%26#39;s a %26quot;best%26quot; location. All the macarons, in fact all the pastries, will taste the same. The Laduree on the CE is larger because it%26#39;s a restaurant and also has kitchen/baking items for sale.

If you get a chance you really should treat yourself and go - it is beautiful! And the macaroons are like nothing you can imagine - be sure to get some to take with you!
Have a great time!
