Family beach holiday Brittany - ideas please

Can anyone advise on self catering with access to a sandy beach. Never travelled to south of france before and really keen to find cottage/villa suitable for 2 adults and 1 child aged 3. Hoping not to have to drive and would like to use local transport. Not sure if Brittany is the ideal choice when coming from UK?

Well first of all, Brittany is NOT the South of France. It is popular with Brits because of the proximity to ports such as St Malo and Roscoff, the excellent sandy beaches in many areas and the variety of the area.

I would not myself even consider going to France without my own transport, but if you are set on that, the only possibility would be seem to be coach travel with a company such as Club Cantabrica

who will take you to and from the South of France. I don%26#39;t believe relying on local transport is practical, although someone may know better.

You might be better posting in the France forum rather than Dinard.
