Anyone use Gate 1 Travel?

Hi everyone,

my husband and i are looking to book our first trip to Europe and were interested in Paris %26amp; Rome. We found some great deals on gate 1 travel%26#39;s website and would love to know what others have experienced with them? My husband is very cautious and i would love to know any feed back? How reliable is this company?

any help would be greatly apprecitated.

We usually do our own thing, but we did a last minute trip to Italy last year with European Destinations and it worked out very well. Went to Rome, Florence and Venice without a problem, and quite resonably priced. Sorry I can%26#39;t comment on Gate 1, but this company is quite similar.

I haven%26#39;t, but I%26#39;ve read good things about it in terms of reliability and hotels they use.

Did an escorted tour R/F/V of Italy a couple of years ago with Gate1. Hotels were a little out from center by 3 or 4 blocks but all very good; guides were excellent, timing good and the fellow travellers enjoyable--all sorts of folks of different ages --which was a pleasant surprise.

If Gate1 would offer more nights in one place on a multi city tour we would do it again. Dave

Hi Jenny, my husband and I took our first (18 day) European vacation to Madrid and Costa del Sol Spain last year with Gate One. We thought it was a fantastic deal. No complaints here and I too am very cautious. Our hotel was very nice with a small balcony and view of the Mediterranean. My only disappointment was that the hotel wasn%26#39;t equipped for wi fi so I couldn%26#39;t use my lap top. There was a computer in the lobby though and internet cafes in town. Our package included breakfasts and wonderful full buffet dinners %26amp; wine. If we booked a day trip the bus was waiting in front of the hotel in the morning and we traveled to various optional cities. (We recommend Ronda) and lunch was always also included! Some seasoned travelers thought our tour guide wasn%26#39;t that great, but we thought she was fine. Overall, I think Gate One was very good. In fact, we are now looking for deals to go to Rome and Paris next year and will most likely book with them. Sharon

My wife and I traveled with them at least once. If I remember correctly, it was an economy package but the hotel was clean and in a safe location.

We would book through them again.
