Check out the SNCF website www.voyages-sncf.com/leisure/fr/launch/home/

I%26#39;m not sure where you%26#39;re from to know if you%26#39;ll have any french, but french written words are often similar enough to english that it%26#39;s sometimes not too bad. If you scroll down the page and click on the british flag it will also take you to an english page.

I doubt you can get directly to St Cyprien (or at least, not without a lot of difficulty). I would suggest taking the train to Brive or Perigueux or Bergerac (shouldn%26#39;t be nearly as difficult) and then renting a car (which you will in any case need to get around the area). All TGV stations I have been in have multiple car rental agencies within a block of the station, so that would be fairly simple (although they typically are not open on Sunday, so watch which day you are arriving).

I have done some travelling around that area by train as I don%26#39;t drive.

St Cyprien (I assume you mean the place of that name near Sarlat) is served by the Bordeaux - Sarlat trains.

The full timetable can be downloaded at

There are currently reconstruction works on that line with some trains replaced by buses and some requiring a change at Bergerac and/or Libourne. It%26#39;s about a 2hr 30 minute journey from Bordeaux St Jean station.

The timetable is only in French so check carefully, dictionary in hand if required, on which days the trains actually do or do not run.

The summer timetable (hopefully without buses!) will come into operation mid-July. by which time I hope to be thereabouts and enjoying the journey to Sarlat.

Hope that helps.
