My wife and I are planning our one year anniversary trip to Europe this summer and I had a question about flying Ryan Air.
We noticed that the Ryan Air airports are a distance away from the main cities. We will be visiting Barcelona, Paris, and Rome. We were wondering if there is an easy way to be transfered from the Ryan Air airports to our base cities we will be visting.
We appreciate any help that you have to offer.

The information is on the Ryanair web-site but is a little tricky to find. Here is the link for Paris
www.ryanair.com/site/EN/dests.php?loc=BVA
From that you should be able to also see how to find out about your other destinations.
I hope that helps.

Thank you for your help. You are exactly right I was havig a hard time finding the information on their website.

Hi, it is as easy as pie to get to Paris from Beauvais airport with Ryanair. Just inside airport building near the exit you buy the ticket for the bus. Bus is right outside and waits for arrival flights and it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to Paris. From there we were about 20 euros to our hotel in montmarte by taxi. no bother! On the way back you must be at bus terminus 3 hours before flight as it takes just over an hour and you should be in airport 2 hours before departure.

What Ryanair calls %26quot;Barcelona airport%26quot; is either Gerona or Reus ! I don%26#39;t know about Reus but there are busses from Girona to Barcelona which take about an hour

In the event you%26#39;re not satisfied with the airport transfer info provided at the RYAN AIR site....you can always do your own basic search for specific airport web sites for more detail...which usually includes airport/city transfer options and information.

Ryanair fly into Ciampino Rome airport which is around a 30 minute bus ride or I think 30 euros fixed taxi price. The bus is 11 euros I think (was there last summer) so for two of you take a taxi direct to your hotel it will be easire.
Barcelona as already said Ryainair use Reus or Girona which are bothe way out of the city.
Unless you are getting a really cheap price then look for someone who flies into Barcelona direct as you can then take the train for the short journey into the city. Easyjet use the main airport in Barcelona as of course does BA and others.
Where are you planning on flying from to these destinations? Perhaps there are better alternatives than Ryanair especially given all their %26quot;extras%26quot;

Ryanair can be very cheap or a complete rip off if you don%26#39;t oberve their petty rules to the letter. If you%26#39;re flying from Paris to Barcelona you have a choice of 3 low cost airlines. The cheapest way to get from Ciampino to central Rome is to take the bus to Ciampino rail station and then the train to Termini - about half the price of the direct bus. Or from Barcelona you might be able to fly on Vueling to Rome - the best low cost airline I%26#39;ve used which arrives at Fiumicino from where you take a direct train to Termini.

quite a few of the places ryan fly into there are busses which coincide with the landing times. at EMA ryan have a booth where u can buy the tickets before u fly.
they also sell bus tickets on the plane. as said before you land in campinmgo (?) for rome, girona for barcelona, bergamo for milan...etc. but pisa for pisa, dublin for dublin, CDG for paris......

As mentioned, why pigeon hole yourself with Ryanair.
We are using Vueling for our Paris- Rome flight. The RER from Paris to airport it uses( Charles de Gaulle) is 8.50 euros and takes about 30 minutes. Cheaper and easier then Beauvais and it arrives at FCO in Rome where we just hop the train into Rome.
Hubby has also flown with Tuifly and AirBerliner, both times getting cheap flights and decent airports.
Do some research, Ryan air is not your only choice, and add in the cost of getting to and from some of these satellite airports, it may be a better deal to buy a flight with an airline that costs 20 euros more , but has better transport options available.
Vueling has a great website, as does Tuifly, just google.
And , I google all my airlines and look for reviews, Vueling gets better ones then Ryanair or Easyjet( which are both fine also)

The main problem with Ryanair for people coming from North America (apart from the sometimes %26quot;interesting%26quot; naming of airports) is their draconian luggage allowance. It is a strictly enforced maximum of 15kgs per person check-in (and only if you pay extra for this) and 10kgs hand luggage. You cannot get extra allowance by paying for an extra bag.
As others have said, when you factor in the time, hassle and expense of the Ryanair extras, including travel to and from remote airports (with the exception of Ciampino on your list which is better for Rome) you will probably find you are better off flying with someone else, not ignoring airlines like BA and Air France which can have excellent fares.
