car hire for August

Hello again, thanks to all that may have responded to my previous posts.

We are going to Calvi in August {yes i know it will be crowded and hot} but we have no alternative, school dictates our holidays.

We are considering car hire for a few days, I have read here it would be best to book beforehand, so any info on the best places to hire from, and what i should expect to pay,would be appreciated. once i have that sorted, i should be returning here for some info on the best places to visit around the Calvi area. Thank you.

I usually go with either Auto Europe

depending on which is offering the better deal at the time I book.

In August it can get very expensive, especially if you leave it too late. Current prices being quoted are around £175 per week but I have seen it go as high as £250, with extremely limited availability.
