Accomodation Advice ? Screwed

I would like to have an accomodation in the center of paris for 2 nights with close proximity to Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Arc. Also the area should be lively and easy access to metros. Any Suggestions? i am looking for a three star hotel.

The Eiffel Tower isnt really near anything, so finding a place near all 3 will be a problem.

The Arc is about 2km metres from the Louvre, so I suggest you look for a place halfway between. Your problem is going to be finding a hotel for reasonable money in that area.

Be careful about star ratings, too. All it means to you is that the rooms are bigger.

Which area should i choose !

Which can be close to restaurants, Metro and active night life keeping in mind the main issue of a major metro close very very close by.

you%26#39;re never more than a 10-minute walk from a Metro stop anywhere in the city -- usually much less than that.

%26quot;...close to restaurants, Metro and active night life...; close proximity to Louvre, Eiffel Tower and Arc...%26quot;

Major metro stations w/ connecting lines that might adhere to above criteria:

Bastille - - line 1 straight to the Louvre and Arc de T.; one change to RER-C to Eiffel

St Michel - - walk to Louvre (other side of river), RER-C to Eiffel; line 10 to la Motte Picquet-Grenelle, where you can walk to the Eiffel in less than 10 minutes (or change to line 6 and go 2 more stations).

Both areas have plenty of cafes and restaurants and pubs/taverns...

Read the TA reviews as I have no actual experience with these hotels.
