I%26#39;ve had a look at the link i was given but i%26#39;m still confused. I know i have to get the RER A line towards Marne-la-Vallee - Chessy, but after reading about pickpokets etc i%26#39;m worried that im going to get all confused after getting off the eurostar at paris and so draw attention to myself.
Basically, i%26#39;m worried about not being able to find the right train at the station.
Also, i%26#39;m muddled about how to get the tickets? I mean should we buy on the day or pre-order them beforehand? And should we get a day pass? If so, how many zones?
Any suggestions would be fab!
Thank you

Hello Ometravels!
The easiest, pickpocket-free way to go from Gare du Nord to Disneyland Resorts-Paris:
1. Ask the person at the RATP/RER ticket counter for tickets to/from Marne la Vallée-Chessy (Zone 5). You don%26#39;t need a day pass unless you%26#39;ll be traveling multiple times between Disney and the center of Paris. It%26#39;s 6.30E (3.15E for kids 4-10) one-way. Save your tickets until you arrive at Disneyland! You will need them to enter, transfer, and exist stations.
2. Take RER Line E from Gare du Nord (follow signs or ask someone at a ticket counter) in the direction of TOURNAN. Before boarding the RER train, check the electronic board at the platform hanging from the ceiling for stops. Make sure VAL DE FONTENAY is lit.
3. Change at VAL DE FONTENAY for RER Line A in the direction of Marne la Vallée-Chessy.
4. Ride until the final stop.
Avoid pickpockets by:
-walking with a confident stride
-speaking in a low voice
-keeping all bags in sight; valuables OUT OF SIGHT
Hope that helps! Enjoy the magic.

I don%26#39;t want to step on the previous posters toes, but there is no point in going all the way to Val de Fontenay from Gare du Nord - its five stops away.
From Gare du Nord, take RER Line B3 to Chatalet-Les-Halles (its the next stop on the line). This station is one of the largest in Paris, but I have spent a considerable amount of time in the city and have never experienced a problem there, just use common sense. From Chatalet-Les-Halles, take RER Line A in the direction A4 (its well sign posted). Then just sit on the train until the last stop (Marne-La-Vallee Chessy) and you will find yourself literally right at the gates of Disneyland.
A day pass would be expensive as Marne-La-Vallee is in an outlying zone. Just buy a single ticket, it should cost less than 10E.
I would never use anything but the RER - its a fantastic network and is very safe.
Hope this helps!

Oh, one last thing: I wrote a guide about safety on the Metro and RER some time ago, it should be in the Paris Inside Pages. You should take a look at that if you are worried about pickpockets.

Thank you for both of your suggestions. It%26#39;s good to know that there are a few routes we can take to get to DLP safely!
I feel much more confident about how to avoid pickpockets etc now so thank you.
I think i may have read that article before... i%26#39;ll double check!
Thanks again
