Paris to Avignon

Anybody can tell me how much is it to go from Paris to Avignon ? Is it better by train,bus, plane also anyone have a good place to saty for 1 night or 2 my mother wants to go she is 69 so it need to be comfortable .thanks to everyone who answer I really appreciate.

Your best bet for quick convenient, comfortable, economic transport from PARIS-Gare de Lyon to AVIGNON will be via TGV high-speed train. Approx. 3:30 hrs from city-center-to-city center. Advance purchase, (Restricted changes) PREMs fares begin at approx 25€

If you will be returning to CDG for an immediate homeward flight after AVIGNON, there is direct TGV service (train %26amp; flight schedules permitting) AVIGNON that will by-pass Paris and take you directly to the AEROPORT CDG2 TGV (Roissy) station within CDG (part for the CDG #2 terminal complex in approx. 3:45 hrs).

The TGV is dead easy - go to voyages-sncf and click on the British flag in bottom left corner. Any problems, find the tutorial on this site which explains how to purchase tickets.
