Is it still true?

Hi all,

I read in one of the paris Golists (tripadvisor.com/GoListDetail-i6868-Visiting_…) that the Louvre is half price every sunday. Tried to look it up on louvre.fr but couldn%26#39;t find it anywhere (except first sundays being free).

And what day do you think is best to visit the Louvre if you have a saturday, sunday and monday (tuesday too, but Louvre is closed, I believe)

Any experts on these questions?

Thanks!

Marlies

Go Monday (or another weekeday.) Weekends, especially when free, are extremely crowded. Last Monday, we entered from the Carousel del Louvre Shopping Center and had no wait at Security. The Louvre is indeed closed on Tuesday.

thanks!!

I guess we%26#39;ll try early in the morning on a monday. Guess that the half-price on sundays is no longer true.

By the way, can we easily find the entrance to this Carousel del Louvre Shopping Center?

Pretty easily...down the escalators under the arch of Passage Richelieu or from the PALAIS ROYAL-MUSÉE de LOUVRE station from the #1 Metro ligne.

The Louvre is free this Sunday. Actually most of the museums are free on the First sunday of the month. It will get crowded around lunchtime so get there early.

Excellent call about the Carrousel entrance. You can get your pyramid pictures as you exit. Public entrance from the mini Arch stairs going down or right off the Metro stop Musee du Louvre. Follow the signs

Carrousel entrance to the Louvre: If you are on the street level: On Rue de Rivoli just west of the Louvre is a big vertical banner which says Carrousel (I think it is red.) Go in that door, down the escalator, pass all of the shops and once you get into the big open-room area, there are machines to purchase tickets to the Louvre. Enjoy!

Thanks to all of you :) I think I must be able to find it now!

You%26#39;ve been great help!
