Gites for 2 in Loire area

Hi - we are planning a trip to the Loire for a week in July. Want to hire a gites or cottage that is walking distance to a town/village that has at least a couple of restaurants. Will be doing some driving/ cycle trips around the area.

There are just 2 of us. Would be nice to have a swimming pool though not essential. Medium budget (ie we don%26#39;t have to stay in the absolute cheapest place, but equally as there are just two of us we don%26#39;t want to end up paying E1000 for one week!)

Any suggestions? Any decent blogs that anyone can recommend online?
