Day trips outside of Paris?

Hi, does anyone have recommendations for day trips outside of Paris, besides Disney and Versailles. Nice little towns or tours (e.g. wine tours would be great as well!), but not too expensive!It is important that we can use train or bus and be back in paris the same day. Thanx in Advance!!

With new TGV that started last summer it is not easy to go to Champagne area, Strasbourg, Luxembourg for the day.

Chartres is also a classic and easy to reach.

I also like Saint Germain en Laye for the afternoon and it is on the RER.

Did i read you right, that with new TGV train, that it is %26quot;not%26quot; easy to go to Champagne area, Strasbourg or Luxembourg for the day by train?
