Hi Everyone,
My husband and I are planning our very first trip to Europe for next month.
We are in our early 30’s and pretty much laid back. Traveling to Europe is a pretty big deal for us since we don’t know when we’re going to be able to go back again due to our work schedules.
We narrowed down some of the cities we would love to visit – Paris and Rome and Barcelona. And we found some great deals for multi city packages with these exact cities-it includes hotel/flights. This would be 2 nights in each city.
My question to you all is this, is traveling to three different countries in such a short time too stressful or complicated? We only plan on seeing 2-3 attractions per each city since we know it’s impossible to see all the things in such a short time frame. Would getting in and out of the airports be too hectic? we plan on taking only carry on bags to simply as much as possible.
Do you recommend us to narrow it down to just 2 cities instead? If so, I would be leaning towards Paris %26amp; Rome. OR should we just stick to the 3 cities since we don’t know if we will ever be returning any time soon and at least we had the chance to visit?
I’m so lost right now and need to book this today before our work schedule conflicts for the month april.
Thank you all so much and any advice or tips would be so greatly appreciated!!

Do all that you can to simplify your itinerary and do not forget that the first day (and possibly several there after) you will be fighting jet lag and fatigue.
Your inclination to narrow your vacation to just 2 cities is a good one. Unless you have more time, stick to Paris and Rome.

If you just want a flavor of each city, I guess you can do it. Perso. I would do just 2 in order not to waste too much time travelling. Distances are not that far but going from one city to an other one (hotel to hotel) takes the best of 1 day.

Hi Jen,
I also vote for just 2 cities, Rome and Paris, for all the reasons above.
Have a wonderful time,

I vote for Paris and Barcelona and leave Italy for another trip. Truth told, I vote for Paris and her surrounds only.

I think as long as you accept that you will only see a fraction of the cities then it is perfectly reasonable.
I could happily live the rest of my life and never return to Rome.
Also if doing a two centre trip then consider taking an overnight train. This means you can sleep while you travel city centre to city centre and eliminate the wasted hours at the airport.
There are direct trains from Paris to Barca and Rome
