We will be staying in the 9th, and would like to know of some good places to eat that dont cost a arm and leg. And anything thing else you can tell us about this area. We will be there in 7 days and 1st timers. Thank so much.

Can you be more specific? the %26quot;9th%26quot; covers a lot of ground.

We will just be starting at Emeraude Hoteld d%26#39;Espagne and were liking for little places that we can just walk to have a glass of wine and get some lunch or dinner. I just sont want to have to really alot. We are just happy in little out of the way places with good food. Thanks so much.

Ok, on the map you are located just behind the Grands Boulevards metro stop. Very near Musee Grevin, Passages des Panorama, Passages Jouffroy, Hard Rock Cafe, and the very busy broad avenues of blvd Montmartre and blvd Haussmann - filled with stores and cafes. You will have no problem walking out your door and trying different places.
One place you might go is the beautiful Cafe de la Paix at the Place de l%26#39;Opera.
Here are some nearby restaurants:
Le Gymnase - 44, Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle 75010
I found this comment on the internet:
%26quot;Mainly known as a cheap dinner and music spot, Le Gymnase is a great and quiet place in the mornings and afternoon for wifi use. The food is superb for the price and they often feature live jazz at night. %26quot;
Gallopin - 30, Rue Notre Dame des Victoires

Au Petit Riche - 25, Rue Le Peletier 75009

Restaurant Julien - 16, Rue Faubourg Saint Denis 75010

Le Pain Quotidien (good for lunch) - 33, Rue Vivienne 75002
Brioche Dorée (also good for lunch) - 4, Boulevard Montmartre 75009
:-} Starbucks - 7, Boulevard Poissonnière 75002

Thank you for all the info, going to check it out.

Would recommend Chartier Bouillon,
Inexpensive large French restaurant, food average but good experience - waiters write on the tablecloths, good atmosphere.

Yes! Just as travelnutty suggested, allow yourself the experience of cafe de la paix......we enjoyed a beautiful dinner inside and on another day - spent 1/2 an afternoon outside drinking wine, talking and people watching - both experiences were perfect and unique. You can visit their website to get an idea.
Enjoy and have a wonderful trip!
We too stayed in the 9th - Opera district - and really enjoyed it.
