Hi everybody, this is my first post in the Paris forum!
I%26#39;m planning a trip to Versailles at the end of June. I%26#39;m looking for a hotel in Versailles, in a location accessible by public transport or walking (I won%26#39;t have a car), so not somewhere off a motorway etc.
I was thinking of the Ibis (I%26#39;ve stayed in one in London) or somewhere of similar level. I was thinking of the Ibis Chateau of Versailles but I%26#39;m open to suggestions. I prefer modern chains rather than small family hotels.
Could someone offer some advice?

I%26#39;m finding these by using Google map function, and can see:
Ibis - 4, Avenue Gén de Gaulle, practically next to the RER-C Rive Gauche train station (don%26#39;t choose the Ibis %26quot;Chateau%26quot; location - - it is about 3 kilometers outside town center)
Mercure - 19, rue Philippe de Dangeau (other side of avenue de Paris)
I know a bus #171 goes along %26#39;avenue de Paris%26#39; toward Paris and terminates at the Pont de Sevres metro station, then you change to the metro to go the rest of the way (or change to a Paris bus route).
